LCQ Short Course (NZQA Credit)

By law, any business that sells alcohol must have an LCQ Qualified person in charge at all times

LCQ is also the prescribed qualification required to demonstrate that those applying for, or renewing, their Manager’s Certificate have received recent and relevant training as set out in the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. This is a nationally recognised qualification which was developed by ServicelQ, the Industry Training Organisation for New Zealand’s hospitality industry.

If you are looking for a job in a bar, café or restaurant serving alcohol, the LCQ qualification is preferred by many employers. Even if you are not the manager, being LCQ qualified could assist you in getting the job you want.
