The BAM Top-Up is an internationally recognised bachelor’s degree from the University of Northampton. This programme is designed for those with HND qualifications, New Zealand Diploma in Business or similar UK and international qualifications.

The programme allows you to gain a full honours degree in one year. You could move on to further study or work in marketing, finance, human resources and general business.

Content & delivery

This programme covers key aspects of business and management practice and theory, while helping you develop individual and group skills.

The programme comprises of modules from the final year of the three-year BAM programme. You will be admitted to this programme based on your previous academic qualifications and/or work experience.

Many of our international students use this programme as a bridge into postgraduate study

On completion of this programme

Graduates of this programme will have:

  • Enhanced development of individual and group skills
  • The knowledge and skills required for starting careers in business and management and well as pursuing further studies

Many graduates go into managerial and administrative roles in both the public and private sector, depending on their chosen specialisations.

Others, particularly those from overseas, use the course as a bridge into postgraduate study.


Entry requirements

If you have an HND (Edexcel, ABE, NCC) or Foundation Degree in Business, New Zealand Diploma in Business, or equivalent, we welcome your application. 

International students
If English is not your first language you must provide evidence that you will be able to study at degree level English. 

You will be required to show that your use of English is equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 550/213.

    Sign one copy of the Offer of Place and return it, with full payment of all fees, by the due date

    When we receive your fees, we will send you an official fee receipt

  • 5 Apply for visa

    Once your student visa is approved, we will arrange your accommodation (if you wish) and airport pick-up
